About Martha Lancaster
Born in Memphis, TN, I presently live in Colorado Springs, CO. As a graphic designer for over 30 years, I produced a variety of printed materials such as logos, books, brochures, newsletters, etc. After retiring from graphic design, I put all my efforts into watercolor painting.
“My paintings are inspired by my original photos taken while meandering along numerous Colorado hiking/ski trails or from my travels around the world. My love for the outdoors includes downhill skiing, biking, camping, hiking, nature photography, and traveling. As a painter I have explored mediums such as oils, acrylics, gouache, pastels, graphite, but eventually I came to love the free-flowing nature of watercolors. I love to bring the beauty and serenity of the great outdoors into other people's lives who can't see it firsthand.”
